BEACHES OF BIMINI

Bimini Bay Beach
This length of this beach along the Atlantic Ocean and the property, so there are plenty coves with private white sandy beaches for guests to enjoy.

Radio Beach, Blister Beach, Spook Hill
Most of Bimini’s beaches are found on the west side of North Bimini. These are long white sand beaches that meet the crystal clear waters of the Atlantic Ocean.

Porgy Bay Beach
Located just north of resort in Bailey Town is this small, but a quaint beach.

Sabor Restaurant welcomes Chef Latoines “Tones” Simms to lead their culinary team to new plateau of exciting, flavorful creations for your dinning pleasures. Chef brings wealth of culinary experience to Bimini Bay, coupled with his recent experience at the culinary classics, winning the highest award as captain of his team. Before joining Bimini Bay, Chef Tones was recently Executive Sous Chef at Bobby Flay’s Mesa Grill on Paradise Island, where he perfected his grilling skills; hence now applying is signature steak rub at Bimini Bay to your favorite steak.

The Island of Bimini is known as the big game fishing capital of the world, with a record tuna catch of 971 pounds dating back to 1993. The island has an array of legendary fishing guides who are willing and ready to provide visitors with some of the best fishing (and fishing tales) as well as guided trips in the Bahamas. Take a tour of the local historical sites such as the Steps of the Lost City of Atlantis, The Healing Hole and the Fountain of Youth, among others. Bimini Bay Resort and Marina’s helpful staff is happy to arrange bone fishing, deep sea fishing and big game fishing.

BONEFISHING

Avid anglers and boaters already know Bimini as the Bonefishing Capital of the World and have been visiting the island for many years. Bimini’s extensive mangrove shorelines, flats and inland rivers provide warm water and food perfect for bonefish. Unlike some other locations, conditions are perfect for fishing in Bimini year round. Bill and Nowdla Keefe’s Bimini Undersea offers snorkeling and SCUBA as well as Wild Dolphin adventures. Private charters are available for world-class deep-sea fishing and bone fishing. Kayaking, sailing and island tours may also be arranged.

SNORKELING

For Snorkelers, Bimini was named one of the Top Ten Snorkel Destinations in the Caribbean by The Travel Channel. Bimini Bay Resort and Marina will now offer the convenience of booking family water activities onsite at the resort. Bimini Undersea Adventures taking snorklers to favorite sites like the Wreck of the Sapona and The Bimini Barge, The Bimini Road (aka The lost city of Atlantis), Tuna Alley, Victory Reef,Turtle Rocks, Hawksbill Reef, as well as Three Sister Rocks. Snorkeling trips are done in shallow water (15-25 ft) and are great activities for the entire family. No prior snorkeling experience is required.

SCUBA DIVING

The intriguing underwater world of Bimini offers a variety of dives for visitors including walls, reefs, and wrecks. With an average warm temperature of low 70′s to high 80′s, diving is an activity that everyone should experience at least once in their life. Different dives include the Bimini Barge, a massive tug that rests in 90 feet of water with the top of the wreck rising to 65 feet; Tuna Alley (named due to annual migration of tuna through the area); The Strip, a shallow water dive site known for its nocturnal activity such as large sea turtles; and Bimini Roads, a must-see dive in Bimini that claims to being part of the Lost City of Atlantis. Dives range from 15-130 feet depending on experience and each trip is supervised by Bimini Undersea’s professional dive staff. You only the need to have the ability to swim.

DOLPHIN ADVENTURE
