Bimini Bay Resort & Marina Partner to Launch Daily Non-Stop Service from South Florida to the Bahamian Island

Bimini Bay Resort & Marina is quickly emerging as South Florida’s “offshore playground.” To help support this growth, IBC Travel, in partnership with Bimini Bay, will launch an expanded schedule on August 15, including daily, non-stop flights from the region’s two major airports to South Bimini International Airport. By offering afternoon departures, IBC Travel will effectively open travel from major cities throughout the Northeast, Midwest and Canada.

The 30-minute flights will depart from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and Miami International Airport on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Sunday flights will leave from both airports. Roundtrip flights on the 30-seat, state-of-the-art Saab 340B plane are $289 per person; one-way flights are $169 per person. Children under two years old fly for $100 roundtrip or $50 one-way.

Bimini Bay Resort & Marina, with its partnership with the Bahamas Tourism Office, is sweetening the deal by offering an instant saving of $400 for stays of six nights or longer and $250 for four- and five-night stays. (One credit per room. Reservations must be made by Aug. 31 for travel between Aug. 15 and Dec. 21, 2011. No blackout dates.)
